The Blue Eye

The Blue Eye located just a 30 to 45-minute drive inland from Sarandë, is a hidden spring in the southern natural phenomenon set amidst a dense, jungle-like forest of oak and sycamore trees near the village of Muzinë. The spring is a powerful karst resurgence where crystal-clear groundwater bubbles up from a deep, subterranean limestone cave.

The intense contrast between the dark, seemingly bottomless center and the vibrant turquoise shallows perfectly mimics the look of a giant, unblinking blue eye.
