Shkodra Lake

Shkodra Lake also known as Lake Skadar, is the largest lake in Southern Europe and a stunning natural border shared between Albania and Montenegro. Framed by the dramatic peaks of the Accursed Mountains on one side and fertile plains on the other, the lake is a serene, ecologically rich haven located just a few kilometers from the bustling center of Shkodër.

It is widely celebrated not only for its tranquil beauty but also for its remarkable biodiversity, making it one of the most important bird and wetland reserves in Europe.
